Camp Aldersgate provides barrier-free experiences for individuals with special needs. Our services are an essential part of the continuum of care for the quality of life of individuals with special needs and their families and caregivers. These outdoors experiences empower campers by celebrating them, respecting them and engaging them at a place and in activities built just for them.
Here at Easterseals Arkansas, every individual, irrespective of their abilities, is given the golden opportunity to thrive in a nurturing community environment. For a remarkable stretch of 80 years, we have been at the forefront, aiding individuals with disabilities and special needs, along with their families, to navigate life’s challenges and reach their fullest potential.
After recognizing the need to support the whole family when a child is seriously ill or injured, our first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia, PA, USA, in 1974. That was the beginning of our role as a unique charity dedicated to caring for families with children who are ill or injured. Our programs and services address the essential needs of families around the world - all along their child’s healthcare journey - so they can focus on the health and well-being of their child.
The purpose of the Arkansas Lifespan Respite Coalition (ALRC) is not to act in the role of a direct service provider, but to build a statewide system to identify and coordinate respite care options for families regardless or age, special need, or other characteristics of the person needing care.
